Ready to end lonliness into Autumn's flight.
Tears roll down the devine lady's face,
She longs for comfort and a loving embrace.
Her wings feel heavy and about to freeze,
Then a new hope, unseen, comes on late summers breeze.
A smile spreads across a night as black as coal,
The breeze is now like wind in the soul.
*This poem stirred up a certain kind of magic in my life (1999). A wonderful woman from Johannesburg, South Africa read it online and now she's my wife!!*
